About
Well, hi! It seems as though you have stumbled upon the blog for goalie4life.com. My name is Jessie and I’m the goalie who schemed up this site. I hope you find my products buy-able and my blog entertaining!
What would a clothing site have to blog about, you ask? Well, everything! My life revolves around hockey and being a sarcastic, opinionated goalie I have lots to say about what I live and see. While my Facebook and Twitter friends get to hear a lot of it via status updates, that is a limited audience. Therefore I will now be broadcasting my commentary on all things hockey here in my blog.
Sound interesting? Terrifying? Diabolical? Well, it may be all of that. So buckle up!
About Goalie4Life
Being a goalie, it is always painfully apparent to me that goalies are often forgotten in the world of hockey Tees. Forwards and defensemen have their pick of awesome t-shirts tailored to them but goalies have to settle for shirts with (*gasp!*) regular sticks on them! Therefore I, a goalie who happens to be employed as a graphic designer, decided to fix that problem!
Since this project is to help you, my fellow goaltenders, proclaim your dedication to our position, I welcome any ideas you have for designs. Want to see something on a shirt? Head over here and suggest it!
All proceeds from Goalie4Life go to supporting local (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and BC) hockey teams in the form of putting gas in the car that gets their freelance goalie to their games. For a more concise breakdown, head over to “where does my money go?”
About the Author
Jessie Hockett is the mastermind behind this project. She lives a hundred miles from the nearest ice rink, thus has a LOT of traveling to do to get to any games. To top that off, she cannot have an actual team to play for (for the same reason) so she is something of a “freelance goalie”, traveling to play for any team that needs a goalie for a weekend. Believe me, she travels just about every weekend during the hockey season to keep up!
Outside of hockey, she works as a graphic designer at the local community college to pay the bills and for her hockey addiction. In addition, she is a sculptor and photographer, albeit an amateur one. She also enjoys cooking and eating good food, training horses, and sleeping. A lot.
